Art is form of expression that reflects the human ability to express hidden emotions that only the creative and imaginative ones are able to do . It comes in many forms, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, music, dancing and literature . Wayan I came across an art shop that was really actually hard to miss . A nice lady came and welcomed me to her shop. Her name was Wayan and told me to take my time and look around. I was astonished about the amount of beautiful art found in such a small place. I asked Wayan ( which is the name of the first born in the family) about her shop and expressed how the art pieces that she owns are unique. Wayan owned this shop for 27 years, she encourages local art and talent by allowing young and motivated artists to display their work in her shop. I was really surprised by how detailed and perfect the art was. The amount of sculptures and wood carving found are marvellous. You can see their is allot of talent and imagination in Ubud. Wayan mentioned that in Ubud many like to express their emotions through art work as their culture and belief play a huge role in this. However their is one painting that struck me the most. It was a series of a balinese girl combining her hair. The facial expression on her face and the detail of how she is combing her hair is marvellous. As I stood their staring at the details on her beautiful textile dress, Wayan was looking at me and was smiling . I asked her about the painting and she said that this painting is very special it was gifted to her by her friend. She went on and explained how this painting reminded her of her self when she was young. The simplicity of how the girl is getting ready reflects old times to Wayan. I could feel that she got a bit emotional. She said that she is blessed to have this shop . Photo Credit : roa+interiors

This cute animal is a a type of forest animal that is found in Asian countries like Indonesia. The Process - Kopi Luwak1- The Luwak feeds on the coffee cherries 2- Digestive system takes is natural role and digest the coffee cherries 3- The Luwak , poo along with the coffee cherries and here the separation of the coffee cherries and poo starts. 4- Coffee beans are sun-dried 5- Finally its roasted and ready to be served. Process of the luwak coffee. photo credit - roa+interiors Their is a very high demand on this type of coffee because of its unique way of production. This coffee is expensive because the Luwak only feeds on coffee cherries by season. They usually go away and live in the forests and people have to go and look for the coffee bean/poo . Some now have farms where Luwak live in and feed on the coffee cherries.
Three women in UbudUbud , a beautiful town in Bali Indonesia where nature, history culture and beauty is found. Reaching to Ubud and being fascinated by its beauty was wonderful but I couldn't wait to get on that mini van and head to the rice fields. I read so much about the rice fields and its beauty but I Never really understood what all these people were talking about until I actually stood their. You know, it is truly once in a life time experience. It is so magical up their , eye opener and mind relaxer. You see pure nature and get inspired by the beautiful rice field patterns. I remember sitting their and looking at the workers, they were so friendly, happy and super relaxed.
Going down from the rice fields, we passed by a village and saw these beautiful woman dressed in their traditional customs. The village had an annual celebration and luckily I had 30 seconds to take a quick photo of these beautiful women. The three women of Ubud, thats how I named this picture, were heading towards their annual festival dressed up , make up on , smiling to everyone and carrying, I might say, the heaviest fruit basket I have ever seen. Their is something so inspiring about Ubud. We spent about 2 weeks in Bali and 3 days in Ubud and it was once in the life time experience. I will be posting soon about the art and galleries that made us come up with an extra ordinary interior design concept. Stay tuned & travel the world . |
